Prusa Research is set to showcase its industrial range, Prusa Pro, at Formnext 2023. With a focus on industrial-grade 3D printers, Prusa Pro will exhibit the latest in-house technologies. Contrary to a pivot towards solely industrial offerings, Prusa Research’s expansion into the industrial segment is a strategic enhancement to their portfolio. The Prusa Pro printers, equipped with features such as a heated chamber, duralumin print heads, and high-pressure turbine cooling, are an amalgamation of high-end technologies. These machines leverage feedback from the expansive user base of Original Prusa printers, aiming to achieve user-friendly operations with features like removable print sheets and fully automated calibrations.
At Formnext, Prusa Pro will unveil the HT90, a high-temperature industrial FDM printer, the SLX, a next-generation SLA printer concept, and the latest Automatic Farm System (AFS) iteration. The HT90 is designed for a broad spectrum of materials and rapid prototyping, boasting an actively heated chamber and high nozzle temperatures. The SLX promises features yet to be seen in the SLA market, including a 12K MONO LCD panel and an advanced vat tilting mechanism. Additionally, the AFS now includes an Intelligent Shelving System and integrates with Prusa Connect for farm management.
These innovations signify Prusa’s commitment to addressing diverse manufacturing requirements and streamlining 3D printing processes. The future likely holds further integration of user feedback into technological advancements, fostering a more user-centric approach in industrial 3D printing solutions.
